Common questions
What file types can I send?
Images and PDFs, up to 50MB per file. Vector source files, archives, and fonts are not supported yet: if your final delivery is a .zip or an .ai, Prooflock cannot carry it today. Wider format support is planned but not shipped.
What if the client never pays?
Reminders keep going out while the link is live. If the payment term ends unpaid (7, 15, or 30 days, set by you), the link expires, the invoice is voided, and the files are deleted from Prooflock. Your client never had the originals.
Does my client need an account?
No. They get one link. Opening it shows the previews and the invoice; paying unlocks the download. No signup, no password, no app.
How does the money reach me?
Through Stripe, directly into your own Stripe account. Prooflock takes no commission on the payment. Connecting Stripe the first time takes 5 to 10 minutes, because Stripe asks for your bank details and identity so clients can pay you directly. You do it once; every envelope after that uses the same account.
