Overview
Prooflock is operated by Antithetical Labs LLC. We respect your privacy, collect as little as we can, and delete your data on request. We do not sell your data and we run no advertising trackers.
What we collect
Account data — your name and email, via our sign-in provider. Usage data — basic logs needed to run and secure the service. Product data — where your signup came from, an optional note on what you used before, and basic milestones as you use Prooflock, such as when you connect Stripe. Content — the files you upload and the client email addresses you enter to send an envelope.
How we use it
To run Prooflock: store and deliver your files, send invoices and notifications, prevent abuse, and support you. Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are performing our contract with you and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service.
Who we share it with
We use a few trusted providers that process data on our instructions, sharing only what each needs: Stripe (payments and invoicing), Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage), and Resend (transactional email).
Your clients' data
When you send an envelope, you give us your client's email and your files. For that data you are the controller and we act as your processor — we use it only to deliver the envelope and show you its delivery status, such as whether the link has been opened, never for anything else. If you need a Data Processing Agreement, email us.
International transfers
Some providers (for example Stripe and Supabase) process data in the United States. Where data crosses borders, we rely on their standard safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Retention and deletion
Previews and original files are deleted automatically once the payment deadline or download window passes. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time — email us and we will. We keep limited billing records as needed for tax and accounting.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data, and object to certain processing — just email us. If you're in the UK or EEA, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies needed to sign you in and keep the service secure. No advertising or analytics trackers.
